The date October 22, 1990, is one of the most important dates in spiritual history. On that date Sri Harold Klemp dedicated the Temple of ECK in Chanhassen, Minnesota, as ECKANKAR's Seat of Power, its spiritual center on earth. With the dedication of this Temple, we began the missionary era of ECKANKAR, to bring this new era of Light, love, and Sound to the people who are searching for truth. This historic talk is printed in Sri Harold’s book The Temple of ECK, which chronicles the conception and birth of this Golden Wisdom Temple. In the talk Sri Harold gives an overview of the prior twenty-five years, since Paul Twitchell, the modern-day founder of ECKANKAR, took the teachings of ECK to the public again in 1965. He shares Paul’s vision for the future of ECKANKAR. And he tells why the ECK community was then at an ebb, but how it would rise and flow as we bring to the world in a greater way these sacred teachings that help Soul find Its way home to God.
