Carol is an ECK staff member who visited an exhibit of Claude Monet’s artwork in Chicago. She liked most of Monet’s works, but some of them didn’t grab her interest. Then she was inspired to stand back from these paintings. Way back. Do you know what happened? From that distance, the pictures became almost as clear as if they had been painted by a realist. Then, to his surprise, the landlady said, “If you care for these chicks until they grow up, I’ll give you one.” He was angry, disappointed, and hurt. He also knew that if he didn’t care for the chicks, they would get no care at all. What was he to do? What did he learn from his experience?
